Frequently Asked Questions
Whats Your Address?
As the site is on a field, there’s not an address as such, however the garden is listed on google maps so if you just type in “Banma Market Garden” it should take you there.
Failing that, if you are heading from the Wiveton Bell towards Wiveton Hall, Banma’s is shortly before the village hall on the right hand side.
How Do I Buy The Vegetables?
I have a Whatsapp group that I send a weekly message out saying what’s available and requesting peoples orders ready for the harvest on a Thursday. There is also a number of items that will be left on the stall just outside following the harvest, but it’s best to get there on the day for the freshest produce.
What’s “Banma”?
“Banma” refers to a wonderful local lady, and one that many of us can relate to. It means “Grandma” and was what Sarah Woodhouse’s grandchildren called her along with “Banpa” for her beloved husband Jim.
She gave the garden a place to start and as a tribute to her and all of the nurturing matriarchs in our society, Banma Market Garden was born.
