Fermentation Workshop

  • Wiveton Parish Rooms The Street, Wiveton NR25 7TH (map)

Brittens Botanicals in collaboration with Banma Market Garden

If you’ve heard of the benefits of increasing your micro-biome health, why not come and learn how to create your very own probiotics at home through the ancient art of fermentation. This is not just good for your gut, it's good for the planet - food preservation is one of the biggest ways we can save resources as it saves waste and does not need to be cooked!

This immersive day includes a delicious light lunch featuring fermented salads and fresh sourdough bread. You'll sample an array of living foods including various kombuchas, refreshing water kefirs, and seasonal fermented vegetables. We encourage experienced fermenters to bring their cultures to share - community knowledge exchange is at the heart of traditional food preservation.

Everyone leaves with their own kombucha SCOBY and water kefir grains to continue your fermentation journey at home, as well as creating your own sauerkraut and brined vegetables too!
